Vinous - Score: 92 (2017 July)

Bright purple. Deep-pitched black and blue fruit and exotic spice qualities, along with suggestions of candied flowers, smoky minerals and olive paste. Stains the palate with sweet boysenberry, cherry and spicecake flavors that deepen steadily on the back half. Shows surprisingly lithe character given its power, and finishes extremely long and sweet; rounded tannins add gentle grip.
